Chatting without adding is easy.
1. Just goto ant chatroom first.
2. Options >> Menu >> Private Chat >> Enter Username
3. There you can enter the username of the personal you want to chat to. Even if he, she is not chatting in the chatroom.

on cell phone this trick works on every version,by usin this method u can catch appearing offline contacts too
